DESCRIPTION:\nBRINGING ART TO THE TABLE\n\n\n \n\n\nThe Leeds Arts Council 
 is producing \nits third annual Tablescapes November 5th through 8th at th
 e Leeds Theatre and \nArts Center at 8140 Parkway Drive in downtown Leeds.
  This event is for those who \nenjoy celebrating a holiday or the cherishe
 d company of family and friends. It \nis full of inspirational ideas to ma
 ke your table come alive for your special \noccasion. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe tab
 lescapes fundraiser was \ninspired by Jo Ann Malone\, 2007 LAC President\,
  to help fund arts programs \npresented at the Leeds Theatre and Arts Cent
 er.  \nThe first year tablescapes hosted six table designers and twelve in
  2008. \nAs excitement has grown the number of tables have grown. “We plan
  to have more \nthan fifteen tables this year\,” says event chairman\, Mar
 ie Gardner.” \n\n\n \n\n\nOne returning tablescape designer is \nThe Monke
 y’s Uncle\, Alabama’s 2009 Retailer of the Year. Last year their table \nw
 as very popular with the teen crowd. It included a table top covered with 
 snow \nand included purple and silver polka-dot decor. Another unique tabl
 e included a \nseascape design by Gloria’s Arrangements embracing sand\, s
 ea foam\, fishing nets\, coral\, fish and sea shells. \nThis year themes r
 ange from football party ideas\, French Country\, Christmas\, \nThanksgivi
 ng and New Years. Decorating styles embrace traditional\, classic\, \nmode
 rn and edgy motifs. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe event opens Thursday\, November 5\, \
 nfrom 5:00-9:00 p.m. and runs through Sunday November 8th.  Opening night 
 tickets are $10 and include an \nevening of live music with pianist David 
 Brasher and hors d’oeuvres from Top \nNotch Catering. Friday and Saturday 
 hours are 9:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday hours \nare 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Tickets
  for Friday through Sunday are $5.  Drawings for door prizes will be help 
 \nfollowing the closing ceremony on Sunday and winners will be contacted o
 n the \nfollowing Tuesday. \n\n\n \n\n\nThree workshops are provided durin
 g \nthe event. Decorating with Southern Living at Home workshops will be F
 riday and \nSaturday at 12:30 and Cooking Hors D’oeuvres with Pampered Che
